Really tall and long shelf at BookXcess in Gurney Paragon, Penang

So, have you heard about the newly opened book store with a really tall and long shelf?

It's the well know parent of the great Big Bad Wolf book sales, the BookXcess Bookstore now opened in Gurney Paragon mall, Penang!

Located at Level 7 and 8 of Gurney Paragon Mall, this is their 8th outlet and the first store out of the central region! The book store covers over 26 000 sq ft with countless numbers of shelves.

It is also an insta-worthy bookstore, trust me. Too bad I was too occupied with the kids that I did not get the chance to get myself captured for insta purpose lol.

Dansa by Sasha Bashir, Part II

For readers who have been reading my blog for quite a while, you might have come to a post titled Dansa by Sasha Bashir I posted a few months back. I really want the Dansa book but it’s a bit costly (at least for me). I’ve been eyeing the book and been reading it while spending time in Borders Queensbay Mall.

And last week, Sasha Bashir offered her Dansa, A Dance Journey book as a giveaway in her blog. Not a contest, free giveaway, randomly pick winners. How cool is that? Trying my luck, i send an email to her, wishing I’ll be picked as the lucky ones.

But since it’s a random pick, i know it must be hard to be chosen, since I’ve already won a contest from her blog once. So some friends volunteered to help email Sasha on my behalf, and i asked some other to email for me. It was mentioned that anyone can state for whom the book is dedicated to, to be autographed.

A twitter friend of mine, techsupremo was one of the random winners picked and he did dedicate the book to me. Yayyy!!! Thank you soooo much!!!

Dansa by Sasha Bashir

21.01.10

Have you ever heard of Sasha Bashir?

Well, she might not be as famous as Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza the singer, or Maya Karin the actress. But I bet some of you might’ve came across her name before. She worked for Istana Budaya and performed in few theatres. She was the host for Explorace and she was one of the actress of “5 Jingga” drama.

I simply like her because she is a graduate from West Australian Academy of Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Performing Arts. And this is because I love dancing especially traditional dance.

So she has this documentary of dances titled DANSA that was aired on TV3 earlier last year and re-aired on NTV7 (English version) by end of last year. And unfortunately i hadn’t had the chance to watch the show :( This is the very disadvantages of staying in the hostel, you know…

Anyway, few months ago, she launched her first book ever also by the titled DANSA. The book includes beautiful photographs of her during the shooting of DANSA episode taken by Aiemax/Fazari, Madehi and Jay Ismail. The photographs are including the different places she went, the costumes and the story of the dances.

It is a hardcover with 200 pages, contains over 250 beautifully photographed moments during her journey of the documentary. There are also pictures taken behind-the-scenes while Sasha Bashir and the production crew travelled to 13 locations for the show including states in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and Japan.

DANSA by Sasha Bashir is available in Malaysia bookstores for RM 130.

So here come the question…

who’s willing to get this for me….?

Please…..

Pretty please….. >_<
