In the lab

I wanted to update the blog last night but I don't hve any idea what to write.
I'm currently in the lab doing the rheometer test for my 5th series of compounds and i'm getting bored. I read 'The Physics of Rubber Elasticity' by Trealor while waiting for my samples.Done with page 1 to 15. a great start,Juls! Hehe
I wish to read it page by page,and by heart. ;) if I can finish many novels,why can't I do the same with this rubber book,right? Hehe

Btw I'm live blogging,again! Haha Not enough with facebook & twitter mobile now i'm mobile blogging. Well,we must appreciate technology, don't we?

Malam Persada Kencana, IPS USM

Last Friday the 13th (huhu), i went to a Malam Persada Kencana (The Golden Pavillion Night) organized by the Institute of Postgraduate Studies (IPS), USM as the closing of the Postgraduate Month.

Malam Persada Kencana is the appreciation night, to celebrate and recognise the achivements of USM Postgraduate students; who had done well in their research area, journal published and thesis writing. Two of my Supervisor students were awarded that night, so as to celebrate, he treat some of his students to the dinner. Hehe. Thanks, Prof!

First attempt using the Windows Live Writer

I’ve updated my Windows Live and together with the Windows Live package, there is this Windows Live Writer (WLW) ; developed by the Microsoft which supposed to be useful for bloggers to update their blog. I don’t really know how it’ll help, so I’m giving it a try. Lets see if it’s useful or not. Or maybe i might be late that everyone else have been using it? Cause i know I’m always late in the online stuffs. Haha but, nvm there’s always the first for anything :P

WLW supports most of blogging site including Windows Live Spaces, SharePoint blogs, Blogger, LiveJournal, TypePad, Wordpress etc.

So, this is my first post using the WLW. =)

Ok. I like the photo uploader  and editor. It has a lot of function (tilt, rotate, border, crop & more effects) and it’s seriously easy to use. You can easily add the watermark on the photos too.

The preview thing is not bad either. better than the preview provided by Blogger one.

Oh and if u have more than one blog, like me hehe you can add all in the WLW editor and can simply choose which of it that u want to publish a post. Nice isn't it?

Most of us use different theme/template for our blog(s). The WLW can easily be used even for different blogs because you can update each of it with your local blog theme/template through WLW respectively.

Labelling is also easy to be done. Just choose in each categories your post is categorized, auto-updated with the labels in your blog as well.

Retrieving older post for editing also is super easy.

Hurm..What else can i do with this?

I’ll check and play with it more later. :D

I’m starting to like it. haha Didn’t i just said i like the new Blogger updated editor? I like this WLW more!

GEMS big bang carnival

last week i was at home, again! it was totally unplanned. days before my cousin Along a.k.a Nida called and asked if i wanna join her to open a booth for the GEMS Big Bang Carnival. Both of us own a blogshop. i knew about the carnival through the lovely Hanis Zalikha's and her sister Liana Ezzana's blogs. 
So due to no-plan-for-the-weekend plus the i-might-be-boring-lepaking-at-room-on-the-weekend, i told Along that i would be back and join her. I might as well do the clearance stock sale for my blogshop items.


So the GEMS Big Bang Carnival was held at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa from 9am to 6pm. It was held by the GEMS participant, Liana Ezzana was one of the organizer. She was so gracious to work with.

I soooo wanna thanks mum for dropping by Taman Tasik Titiwangsa later that evening after went for a wedding in Keramat. She came with cousin Diba, Effa and my aunty to show us support :)

and my girlfriend Baiti came after went for a wedding also. haishh why la so many wedding~

 

and while lepaking at our booth, chit chatting, suddenly Liana came with a lovely lady and said.. "Hi, ni adik saya. kenal kan?" Bloggers must've known this lovely lady sekali pandang je.

Fewiiitttt Hanis Zalikha was there wehhh. depan mata. she's sooooo beautiful in person. she's look exactly like she is in the pictures. Kalau letak ShahRukh Khan depan mata pon i x pandang kot. :p

She was there to support her sister, her mother Nani Rostam who open a booth selling cookies & cakes for hantaran and her little siblings, the Monster Jambu owners.

at around 545pm we were ready to pack as the carnival would end at 6pm. then i saw Hanis came to our booth, again! She looked at the second hand novels i was letting go (due to x cukup tempat nak place my new books. oh, no i didn't let go any of Sheldon's) and she bought two of them!!! My novels are now Hanis'. :D :D

And dengan hati yang riang ria sebab jumpa si manis Hanis Zalikha (baru jumpa Hanis, kalau la yang dtg tu Adam ke Zahiril Adzim ker..mesti sampai pengsan kot :p) kami pun pulang ke rumah.

It was indeed a great day. I gained experience selling my items at an open booth, at an open carnival like this. Thanks Along for asking me to join.

Just now Baiti darling told me she was thinking of interviewing Hanis Zalikha for the personality column in StarMetro. She's still waiting for the reply. Hope Hanis will agree to do it :)

Went to USM main campus this morning after a short meeting with supervisor. Got two rubber books from the library. Need to start reading for thesis writng.

Now am having lunch at juru autocity Sushi King. This month Fine Salmon month. A lot of new menu made of salmon. So nice.

Rooney welcomes new baby son Kai

I am not a huge football fan. But over the internet today, news are spreading about Manchester United stricker, Wayne Rooney being a dad after his wife Coleen gave birth to their first son, Kai Wayne Rooney at 2.20pm on Monday at Liverpool Women's Hospital.

There are a lot of speculations about why they chose the unusual first name. Some says because Rooney is known to be a fan of the Mortal Kombat video game, in which Kai is a leading character. And some says because it has different meaning in different languages. And that's what caught my attention.

the new bangle

I was at home last two weeks to celebrate my belated birthday with family and some best friends. I had a blast weekend at home.

I bought this purple+pink+green ala Bollywood bangles and purple ring from Diva, OU during my lepak-ing session with the besties. I am so into the accessories thingy like i used to be back in high schools. So now my old accesories are now out from hiding in the closet and will be back in action :P

B got me a blue long necklace for my birthday. It is so nice and i super love it. Thank, B.
