The Annual Iftar with Girlfriends
So anyway, we had our iftar on the Friday, 3rd August 2012. Except that this year, it should be call "Iftar with Girlfriends..and families". Yes... we were celebrating the first appearance of husbands and FOUR babies during the iftar! Last year, there were only us ladies, with three of them were pregnant and this year, four of them came with husbands and babies. We had always to go Little Penang Cafe, but due to not-so-comfortable to bring in babies' stroller etc., we needed to find somewhere else. After several discussion of where to go what to eat - we've decided to go to Pizza Hut, a place for (mostly) all. :P

The first social activity with the IMU colleagues
Kak Yang, on behalf of the organizer who organized the unofficial bowling tournament had been kind enough to asked me to join them too. I didn't really plan to join cause I have the part time tuition. But I had cough and sore throat, started to lose my voice so I cancelled the class. Cousin Effa who excitedly came to join the bowling get together asked me to tag along so I thought I might just go with them as the class had already been cancelled. So there were we, playing bowling at the Bukit Jalil Golf Resorts.

Sharmi’s Bollywood style reception
I didn’t really blog about friends’ weddings lately (except for KNizam’s) since there were too much wedding one after another – Sharifah, Eda, Ashraf, Salmi, Sharmi etc. But I gotta blog about Sharmi’s Bollywood reception. Sharmi’s father is a Pakistani, she had this Bollywood style reception in honor to her paternal bloodline.
Went there with Baiti, Eda and her husband. Sharmi, Eda and I are known as Bollywood fans not Baiti. During high school, Sharmi, Eda and I used to sing and dance to Hindi songs a lot. And if you know me well, you would know that Bollywood is sooo my thing!
Ain’t she pretty?

Nicknames
I remember few years back, in Facebook there was an application where friends can submit the nicknames they call you. I tried looking for it but it isn’t there anymore (or I couldn’t find it). I tried remembering all the nicknames I’ve been called with.
Lets's do this!

Lawatan sambil tweet ke Zoo Negara
The previous member of the trip (Me, Aman, Eny, Ayong, Kay and Mun), together with some new members, Een, Kerel and Zelo went to the Zoo Negara last Sunday.
According to the plan, we were supposed to meet at the Zoo by 10 am, which on the day, I was still at home waiting for somebody to pick me up. Yeah. So janji Melayu, kan? -__-"

So, sepanjang perjalanan mereka dari Rawang x tau la apa keadaan dalam train, tapi menurut kata Ayong, Aman sangat tak reti diam :P Pegi ambil diorg dalam pukul 7.20pg lepas tu naik feri ke Pulau Pinang.
Macam2 hal budak2 ni. Aman agak excited naik feri, ok! lepas tu dia cakap org lain plak yang excited. Haha. Sampai pulau, hantar Aman kat Sunway Hotel untuk event StartUp Penang dia, and kitorg pun beredar.
Memula pergi Gurney Drive lepak Khaleel untuk breakfast. Lepas tu, tak tahu nak pegi mana sbb awal lagi. Oleh kerana Een ada report lab nak kena siapkan, kitorg pun pergi la lepas McDonalds kat Gurney siapkan kerja Een. Dekat 4jam jugak oohh!

My very own Blossom’s wedding
Early this year, my very own Buttercup; Siti Noorzidah tied the knot with the love of her life, Wan Hasanol Bolkiah. Last weekend, I went to Tanah Merah, Kelantan for my own Blossom; Nurul Akma’s wedding with Mohd Hishamuddin Mikail Lim.
I went to kelantan with two other friends, Zidah (her hubby was still in Sabah) and Ikhwan. A very short trip but meaningful for all of us, who are very busy and herd to find the time to gather. The solemnization was done right after Zuhur and then they proceed with the reception on the same day -September 25th, 2010.
Congratulations, Uyu & Hisham! Semoga kekal ke akhir hayat. :)

Am I addicted to Twitter?
As time flies, I come to realize that I’ve been tweeting with the new strangers i met online more than the friends I have in the real world. It seems like they, the Tweeps / Tweeples / Twiends are always there for me whenever I need them.
When I was writing my thesis, when I was in the boring-7-hours train journey, when I was waiting for some friends at the coffee shop - they are always there. When I wanted to share my happiness, sadness, good news, bad news, when I was being all emotional, and stressed up because I was tired of reading and writing – they’ve never failed me. Yes, even though I never met most of them in real life.
A few weeks ago, I was home and I don’t really tweet much and the laziness to tweet prolonged until a few days after I came back to campus. Then, there were some of my Twitter friends asking where have I been and why don’t I tweet. At first I don’t think it was THAT obvious until I tweet “Is it so obvious that I tweet less lately?” and i received lots of mentions saying yes, it is! How sweet of them to actually realize that I’ve been MIA from the Twitterland. :’)
…I guess I AM addicted to Twitter. :/
So…
Hello everyone. My name is Julia, and I’m a Twitter addict.
Come follow me, @bubbles182 on twitter if you haven’t.
p/s: I love you guys, tweeps!!

Annual break-fasting gathering with girlfriends dilemma
Every year (or at least the last 2-3 years), my girlfriends and I always had at least an Iftar get-together during Ramadhan. It has been like an annual thing for us to do. And every year, I’ve never failed to made it to the Iftar gathering. In fact, I was one of the very excited ones to call/text the others and make plans.
(2008 and 2009 Iftar blog posts)
Little Penang Cafe (KLCC), 2008
After-Iftar session, A&W (KLCC), 2008
This year, Naddy took the initiative to message us on FB to set the date sooner, since everyone’s going to be busy with works, planning iftar with family members and some with wedding arrangements. And since I am busy struggling with the thesis writing, I can only be back on certain weekends.
Food Republic (Pavilion), 2009
After-Iftar session, Ministry of Food, MOF (Pavilion), 2009
So after the discussion, they agreed to meet up on the 21st/22nd August, which I most probably won’t be able to make it since I’m going back this weekend (and I bought the return tickets already).
But then Sharmi started making sad face emoticon in the message - then on my FB wall – and followed by some others. I didn’t know what to say, just that I really can’t make it due to some reasons like work stuffs and cost, for sure.
Then Eda started to say thing that made me awed.
(altogether now) Awwwwwwwwwwww~
But B my dear, “the cause of Bringing Julia Home for Ramadhan”?! LOL. Dah macam kempen ape je nih.
But hey, aren’t they the sweetest thing that ever happen to me? :’)

Surprise visit to Manjung for Kak Farhah’s Birthday
Last Sunday, me with some friends went to Manjung, Perak to celebrate my dear Kak farhah’s birthday. I really want to surprise her as she, with my whole bunch of kakaks & abangs, did a surprise birthday celebration for me on my birthday last year. Plus, it has been a while since we met after she left USM and started working in Ipoh. So I planned the surprise visit with her husband, Ikmal.
We reached Manjung at around 3 o’clock and went straightaway to the Secret Recipe, as planned. But, Ikmal who supposed to bring Kakak at 3 pm arrived at 330 om with the birthday girl and her sister, Madihah. (Ikmal, memang nak kene nih!)
Jejak kasih Kak Ida & Madihah. Macam bertahun tak jumpa –_-“
So anyways, no, we didn’t celebrate with all the balloons and birthday decorations. Just a simple lunch and hang-out session – changing stories, updating gossips – like we always do.
Kakak waiting for us to sing her the birthday song.
She’s happy with the song ( which the Secret Recipe put on the speaker, not sing by us ).
My super-delicious chicken cordon bleu :D
Kak ida & Madihah learning to be a good mum :P
Then we went to Kak Farhah’s house for a while, to see Mama & do our prayers.
Baby Aryan with his (self-proclaimed) god-mother ;p
We headed back at around 6+ pm, but we didn’t just go back. Hehe. We stopped by Taiping for a dinner at the famous Doli Kuey Teow Goreng. Finally!!! XD
( Dear B, I promise next time we go to Doli TTDI together-gether k. You jgn la merajuk2 mengadu kat kawan I lagi tau. :P )
Then, we go back to campus, with happy mood happy hearts and happy stomach XD.
Thank you for the roadtrip crew for making this possible, and to Ikmal for helping me in planning the surprise trip.
p/s: I intentionally didn’t put up much of others’ photo, so that Kakak will be happy that this post is dedicated to her, with most of the photos are hers. :’)

Sayugia vs Sorganina
Amaran KRUjaan : Muzik membahayakan kesihatan.
Ok, takde kaitan. Just have been hooked on KRU music lately. :P
So, anyways, peringatan : post ini bukan bertujukan nak membandingkan kedua-dua band ini. Post ini bertujuan untuk menyokong kedua-dua band ini. And no, saya tak kan buat review lagu diorang. Nak tau pegi dengar sendiri. I have bad music taste, honestly! And I am bad in giving reviews. :/
SAYUGIA
Salah seorang anggota band ini, Aiman Najmy merupakan kawan satu pusat pengajian masa zaman undergrad kat USM.
- Aiman
Ahli kumpulan Sayugia ni terdiri daripada Aiman Najmy (vokal/Lead guitar), Pjat (drummer) Arn (bassist) dan Ihsani (Penerbit & Second guitar).

They made it to the XFM chart yaww…
SORGANINA
Salah seorang anngota band ni pulak, Amar Hafizi, kenal sebab dia sangat jahat, telah merampas takhta mayorship Kampung Pandan dariku cess!! Eh, mayor Foursquare tau, bukan Datuk Bandar betul2. :P So, basically kitorang ni boleh dikatakan sekampung lah. Haha. I’ve never met him in person, walaupun rumah dekat sangat, sbb Amar sombong, dah nampak org kat Dagang Avenue tak reti nak tegur. :P
“To us, Sorganina means more to what we wanted most. A beautiful aspiration and motivation for us or to keep moving forward and survive in whatever we’ll be doing. 2008 is an experimental year of Sorga where they did a lot of home recording and tried to blend in as much genre as they could focusing on producing Pop Alternative Rock Music in Malay. Many have said Sorga sounded more to J-Rock Music but becoming more Indo Rock after a few gig.”
- Sorganina
Ahli kumpulan Sorganina pula terdiri daripada Bal (vocalist), Kech (Bassist), Ayam (Drummer), Shafiq (Keyboardist), Amarr (Guitarist) dan Yusri (Guitarist).

…and so did theyyy!!!
************************************************************
Aiman & Amar. Both of them had once faced a dramatic challenge in life – which I’ve never faced so far - and please Allah, jauhkan aku dari dugaan sekuat itu. I know I am not as tough as them if it ever happens to me. For me, both of them are very tough to embrace that and moved on with their life and now success in doing what they are doing now, what they wanted to do in life.
So to both guys, Aiman Najmy and Amar Hafizi, congratulations on what you have achieve so far, and good luck for the future undertaking. Cheers! :)
