My reception pelamin

Me being me, always want something that is different from others. Not that I'm being choosy, more to unique I would say :P When the wedding finally came into reality and the planning started, I just can imagine my wedding to be full of creative-DIY-things. I'm so glad I have a mum that accept me as who I am and let me decide of what I want. Hehe. 

Hence I decided to choose a pelamin without all the fresh flowers like all the other girls dream of. Mine was very.. different. Well not that different since dah ramai pengantin use this kind of pelamin anyway. Huhu.. I remember seeing the pelamin I like from a friend's photo of her sister's friend's wedding (ok panjang gila connection hahaha). So I Google and search through Facebook and blablabla and I finally came across the Filmshortartifact.

Mail them requesting for quotation, having hard time making decision (looking at the price thinking if I could or could not afford it) discussing with mummy and thinking again - cut the story short - I decided to hired them to make my reception pelamin. Meet them, Haidar and Azney, in person to discuss about the details. They were very helpful very nice to deal with.

And the result of the ideas and their hardwork....

Bila nak kahwin?

I bet that most of you who is still single or in a relationship, 24 and above have been asked with that question by the makcik makcik especially during hari raya or family member's wedding kan kan kan? Some of you might find it ok, senyum jawab dengan ikhlas but I know some of you feel totally the opposite - menyampah, jawab dengan sakit hati jiwa raga, and ada yang terasa juga. Tapi ok la jugak kan kalau yang tanya tu makcik makcik - sinonim dengan perkataan busybody mengambil berat. -___-"

But have you girls been asked that particular question by your guy friends? And then they make comments on you dengan jawapan - jawapan yang diberikan? I do. In fact there are many guy friends - married or not - have asked me the same question. Yang buat sakit hati nya adalah bila mereka memberikan komen sesuka hati diorang je. My lovely Buttercup, Siti Noorzidah Mohd Sabri is finally married to the man of her life, Wan Hassanol Bolkiah. The akad was said by Abg Wan after the Asar prayer at Masjid AlJamiul Makmur, Kulim Kedah. My best friend plus ex-roommate is now officially taken! Congratulations, Zyd & Abg Wan! :D

Isn’t she lovely..? :’)So honoured to be the one to drive my Buttercup to the mosque. 

She’s so happy!! I’m so happy for you too!!

The next day was the reception ceremony.

After years of waiting.. Alhamdulillah~   

(I went back home on Saturday night to attend another wedding in Kuala Lumpur, but that’s a whole different story.)

My dearie Blossom, Nurul Akma Ruhani is engaged to her sweetheart, Ecam, held in her hometown in Tanah Merah, Kelantan, which I didnt attend. Uyu, so sorry that I couldn’t make it, thanks to the 2nd year lab that I need to conduct. –_-“ btw, you look beautiful and I’m happy for you ;) And thanks for the mms. Wedding Invitations

School holidays = Wedding Wedding Wedding

Got 2 wedding invitations in June that I really wish to go to.
One is Aira's bro, Ridha's at Seremban on the 13th June and Aida's on the 20th at Taman Cempaka.
I really want to go to Ridha's wed since it had been awhile since I last met Aira herself. I miss her. And during school life, we used to hangout at her place selalu jugak sbb her house paling dekat dengan sekolah. After school, jalan pergi rumah Aira lepak2, and layan cerita Ada Apa dengan Cinta, Never Been Kissed etc. Oh, i miss that moment sangat. Her parents sangat baik and her grandma masak sangat sedap.

And Aida is my ex-classmate kat SAB, and i know her since primary. No2. since kindergarten, Tadika Al-Watan. My cousin Sis Mala knows her older sister and my cousin Diba knows her younger sister. and her mom is my neighbour's friend. We are not that close, buts see the connections? Nak pergi jugakkk..

The problem is that both weddings bukan dalam hari or minggu yang sama. 2 different weeks, berturut-turut. Macam mane nak pilih nak balik KL utk wedding yg mane.... :(

Had gone through one hell of a dramatic week. Haha.
Things happened, we cannot go back and change it like how we want it to be kan. So, look foward (not frontward, eh. ;p) and hope for the best, ok. I'm glad that everything turned out well, and I'm happy that u're happy.

Congratulation, roomie!!

Bestie + Roomie a.k.a Zyd was engaged to Abg Wan last Saturday 27th Dec.
The majlis was at her home in Kulim. I went there the 27th morning, while Nurul was already there the day before as she went early to look out for rumah sewa with her brother (she'll b moving to Lunas & working at Infineon Kulim).
Abg wan's rombongan arrived around 245pm. Like always during majlis pertunangan, when the man's family came, they had their discussion for hantaran+mas kahwin+tempoh tunang and so on, then only the mother put the ring on the woman's finger. It went well. Alhamdulillah. Zyd is now officially engaged. =)

p/s: Kak Husna also had her majlis pertunangan on the same day. Congrats, sister! cpt2 la ikut jejak kak faha. =p

Kak Farhah's Wedding

Wedding ceremony/kenduri/reception is very well-known activity when the school holidays are coming. I can't figure out why they like to do these event during cuti sekolah. Maybe the students in the family are on holiday so that easy to ask for help? Or maybe because it's easier also to balik kampung for the kenduri, as kalau x cuti sekolah, the children need to skip school.

Up till today, i received 3 invitations to wedding ceremony. Kak farhah was on the 29th, Kak Ira (mc'd ex co-worker) on the 20th Dec and Kak Sheila (senior Civil) on the same day. not sure if i can make it for both Kak Ira and Kak Sheila but I know I couldn't say no to Kak Farhah's reception.

So, last Saturday i went to Seri Manjung for Kak Farhah's reception. Ikmal, the husband said the akad on the night before. The convoy from USM campus consist of at least 5 cars, heading towards Manjung at 10.00am. Made a short stop at Bagan Serai and reached at Kak Farhah's around 12.30pm.

Took a rest, then had our lunch before Kak Farhah called us (the girls) to her room for photo snapping.


Ikmal's rombongan came at around 1pm. Kak Farhah headed to him. Auuww~ So comel la both of them together.



Ok. Kak Ida wasn't suppose to be the bride'smaid. Sangat x aci, ok! But, nvm.. bagi the kakaks jadi pengapit, ambik berkat yer. hehehe..

So after the ceremony was almost over, we took off. But not to campus. To Lumut for jalan2 & shopping a lil. Zidah went back earlier with seniors as she had an emergency. So, it was just me, Salmi, Amalina with Awal who went there.

At Lumut jetty. It reminds me of our Polymer trip to Pangkor early 2007. I miss them!!

I did a lil shopping there. Hurm.. a lil? Boleh la.. As i'm going back this coming weekend. kene la beli banyak skit rite.


After the shopping-shopping, we headed back to campus & arrived at around 9pm. So tired, yet so hapy with the trip. Happy to see Kakak getting married & happy to go jalan-jalan.

The next day was the bertandang ceremony at Ikmal's in Teluk Intan. I didn't go there but Kak Husna, Kak Ida, Najwan & Norrish went. I wished to join them, but some things made me unable to. So, these are some pics taken from Najwan/Norrish.
