My reception pelamin

Me being me, always want something that is different from others. Not that I'm being choosy, more to unique I would say :P When the wedding finally came into reality and the planning started, I just can imagine my wedding to be full of creative-DIY-things. I'm so glad I have a mum that accept me as who I am and let me decide of what I want. Hehe. 

Hence I decided to choose a pelamin without all the fresh flowers like all the other girls dream of. Mine was very.. different. Well not that different since dah ramai pengantin use this kind of pelamin anyway. Huhu.. I remember seeing the pelamin I like from a friend's photo of her sister's friend's wedding (ok panjang gila connection hahaha). So I Google and search through Facebook and blablabla and I finally came across the Filmshortartifact.

Mail them requesting for quotation, having hard time making decision (looking at the price thinking if I could or could not afford it) discussing with mummy and thinking again - cut the story short - I decided to hired them to make my reception pelamin. Meet them, Haidar and Azney, in person to discuss about the details. They were very helpful very nice to deal with.

And the result of the ideas and their hardwork....

And here's the details of the pelamin...

Bila nak kahwin?

I bet that most of you who is still single or in a relationship, 24 and above have been asked with that question by the makcik makcik especially during hari raya or family member's wedding kan kan kan? Some of you might find it ok, senyum jawab dengan ikhlas but I know some of you feel totally the opposite - menyampah, jawab dengan sakit hati jiwa raga, and ada yang terasa juga. Tapi ok la jugak kan kalau yang tanya tu makcik makcik - sinonim dengan perkataan busybody mengambil berat. -___-"

But have you girls been asked that particular question by your guy friends? And then they make comments on you dengan jawapan - jawapan yang diberikan? I do. In fact there are many guy friends - married or not - have asked me the same question. Yang buat sakit hati nya adalah bila mereka memberikan komen sesuka hati diorang je. Here are some of the comments/assumptions made by them that I've compiled.

Muhammad Anwar bin Shaharuddin

Saya ada seorang kawan baik. Nama die Muhammad Anwar bin Shaharuddin. Saya mengenali beliau semasa berusia 13 tahun di mana kami bersama2 ditempatkan di kelas 1 Amanah, SMK Aminuddin Baki, KL tahun 1998. Masa tingkatan 1, beliau agak famous di kalangan pelajar2 perempuan kelas lain. Tapi makin meningkat, tahap kefemesan beliau semakin berkurang. Saya pun tak pasti kenapa.

  Anwar & Arwah Hafiz (Al-fatihah..)

Dipendekkan kata, Anwar ni boleh dikatakan calon menantu favourite mak-mak kami la. Mak sape (budak2 perempuan) yang tak kenal Anwar ni. Ini kerana beliau amat rajin datang bertandang ke rumah kami. Lagi2 kalau ada makan2. Paling best la.. tiap2 tahun, raya pertama lagi beliau dah datang beraya di rumah saya sebab kami sama-sama tak ada kampung (yang luar dr KL atau Selangor).

Pendek kata lagi, beliau selamat bertunang hujung tahun lepas dengan kekasih hati beliau, Shikin dan selamat diijabkabulkan pada 14 Mei 2010. Alhamdulillah… Jujurnya, saya sangat tak percaya beliau antara yang terawal kawen. sebab… ntah lah. kalau korang kenal beliau, korang tau lah sebabnya. huhu~

Apa2 pun, kepada kawan yang sentiasa ada ketika saya perlukan, kawan yang agak sengal sengal ubi dan asyik buat saya nak gelak, kawan yang tak pernah skip beraya ke rumah setiap tahun, kawan yang ikut sama Naqi dtg jemput balik keje McD kul 12 malam kat Sungei Wang, kawan yg kadang2 dia yg jemput kalau Naqi takde… (adeh… penat dah… banyak sangat).. Muhammad Anwar Shaharuddin…

Semoga bahagia ke akhir hayat dengan Shikin, dapat anak comel2, pastu kalau perempuan bagi nama Julia, ok. Tahniahhhh!! Aku gembira untuk kalian berdua :’)

My lovely Buttercup, Siti Noorzidah Mohd Sabri is finally married to the man of her life, Wan Hassanol Bolkiah. The akad was said by Abg Wan after the Asar prayer at Masjid AlJamiul Makmur, Kulim Kedah. My best friend plus ex-roommate is now officially taken! Congratulations, Zyd & Abg Wan! :D

Isn’t she lovely..? :’)So honoured to be the one to drive my Buttercup to the mosque. 

She’s so happy!! I’m so happy for you too!!

The next day was the reception ceremony.

After years of waiting.. Alhamdulillah~   

(I went back home on Saturday night to attend another wedding in Kuala Lumpur, but that’s a whole different story.)

My dearie Blossom, Nurul Akma Ruhani is engaged to her sweetheart, Ecam, held in her hometown in Tanah Merah, Kelantan, which I didnt attend. Uyu, so sorry that I couldn’t make it, thanks to the 2nd year lab that I need to conduct. –_-“ btw, you look beautiful and I’m happy for you ;) And thanks for the mms. Cousin Angah’s wedding

So most of you knew that my cousin Angah a.k.a Ayien has finally married to Hakim last week from previous post right. I dont know what i did this whole week at home that i seems busy but i practically just lepak-ing at   home and do nothing. haha

And right now i feel so rajin to update the blog with my cousin’s wedding ;) err..when i say update, it means i’ll just upload the pics ok. hehe

few updates.

• it’s been more than a week at home and i just loveeee the feeling of waking up at home every morning..
• Alhamdulillah Angah’s wedding went well.
• Went for Natrah  theatre with mom, my treat for her belated birthday present. It was great, Remy Ishak sgt handsome (tetiba haha)
• Congrats to my friends Anwar-Shikin & Hanie-fiance(xtau name ;p) for their engagements, both today.
• Finally berjaya menghabiskan duit from “Bubbles Gadget Fund” for things that i hope berbaloi beli. haha. Skarang kene start menyimpan for that fund again –_-“
• Went to see someone today. Am actually glad i made it ;)
• Conference to be attended next week at Resident Hotel Uniten.
• 2 more girl friends are getting engage this next weekend. Congrats in advance,
• I want to see someone so badly!!

Wedding Invitations

School holidays = Wedding Wedding Wedding

Got 2 wedding invitations in June that I really wish to go to.
One is Aira's bro, Ridha's at Seremban on the 13th June and Aida's on the 20th at Taman Cempaka.
I really want to go to Ridha's wed since it had been awhile since I last met Aira herself. I miss her. And during school life, we used to hangout at her place selalu jugak sbb her house paling dekat dengan sekolah. After school, jalan pergi rumah Aira lepak2, and layan cerita Ada Apa dengan Cinta, Never Been Kissed etc. Oh, i miss that moment sangat. Her parents sangat baik and her grandma masak sangat sedap.

And Aida is my ex-classmate kat SAB, and i know her since primary. No2. since kindergarten, Tadika Al-Watan. My cousin Sis Mala knows her older sister and my cousin Diba knows her younger sister. and her mom is my neighbour's friend. We are not that close, buts see the connections? Nak pergi jugakkk..

The problem is that both weddings bukan dalam hari or minggu yang sama. 2 different weeks, berturut-turut. Macam mane nak pilih nak balik KL utk wedding yg mane.... :(

Had gone through one hell of a dramatic week. Haha.
Things happened, we cannot go back and change it like how we want it to be kan. So, look foward (not frontward, eh. ;p) and hope for the best, ok. I'm glad that everything turned out well, and I'm happy that u're happy.

Congratulation, roomie!!

Bestie + Roomie a.k.a Zyd was engaged to Abg Wan last Saturday 27th Dec.
The majlis was at her home in Kulim. I went there the 27th morning, while Nurul was already there the day before as she went early to look out for rumah sewa with her brother (she'll b moving to Lunas & working at Infineon Kulim).
Abg wan's rombongan arrived around 245pm. Like always during majlis pertunangan, when the man's family came, they had their discussion for hantaran+mas kahwin+tempoh tunang and so on, then only the mother put the ring on the woman's finger. It went well. Alhamdulillah. Zyd is now officially engaged. =)

p/s: Kak Husna also had her majlis pertunangan on the same day. Congrats, sister! cpt2 la ikut jejak kak faha. =p
