Family tree

Yesterday, one of my cousin asked for my great-grandmother's name. I thought her name was Maria. I recheck just now on Geni that her name was actually Masnah. Maria was my great-great-grandmother.

Talking about Geni.com, I can't remember exactly how did I find out about the website but I've joined Geni since years ago. Before Geni, I managed to get the late family members' name starting from great-great-grandparent from my grandfather and I drew my own family tree but I lost it anyway -___-" So when I found out about Geni, I was so happy to know that there is an easier way to keep record on the family and to build a family tree. So I went back to grandfather and mum to collect information on my maternal family members. I had a feeling that grandfather might be talking to himself  "Berapa kali la nak bagi budak ni senarai nama-nama semua..dah la kene ingat balik satu-satu..." Ngehngehngeh.

Have all of you intentionally change or forced to change to the new Facebook timeline?
I changed mine months ago, thanks to Cik Chokilala sebab dia yang bagi link tutorial masa tu. Hehe.

Recipe searching made easy with Google

I was looking for some recipe on the internet via Google when I came across one thing that I've never realise before. Maybe some of you might have seen this, but this was the first time for me. And I think I'm loving Google a little bit more for this cause it helps make my recipe hunting easier. :D

Ok first of all, if any of you have known this for quite a while, please don't brag at me. Saya tahu saya selalu agak ketinggalan zaman dalam hal sebegini -___-"

Too much doodle to handle

Arrived at the office like the usual this morning, switched on the computer, opened the Internet Explorer and went to Google.com to google on something. Saw a doodle and I thought it was cute. Clicked on the doodle to find out about it. Today Google doodle is dedicated to Roger Hargreaves for his 76th birthday. Wikipedia says that he was a British author and illustrator of children's books, notably the Mr. Men and Little Miss series, intended for very young readers.

I might not know this Mr Hagreaves, but what catched my attention was, when I opened the Google.com for the second time today, it showed different doodle from the previous one. Then I clicked refresh. Another one. Me likey! So much doodle for this guy! Here are some of them;

Sentimental value vs technology

I still remember how excited I was to send and receive Hari Raya Aidilfitri cards from classmate which was mailed to my home, and received birthday cards from friends and family members during my school years. In secondary school, I made most of the birthday cards for my mum, family members and friends. When exam was around the corner, I made my friends good luck cards. Once in a while, I would make cards for anyone for no reason. Not that I make beautiful cards just that I think the sentimental value added to the hand-made cards are priceless compare to the ready-made cards.

 

 

Blogger and Twitteratis trip to Malacca for #knizamkawen

The plan to Malacca had been done since last month when the famous live blogger, @knizam94 send out his invitation card to us - the blogger and twitteratis through @azmanishak. We were so excited for the trip since most of us are going, and it would be our very first official road trip together. So, there we were on 19th February 2011, off to Malacca the Historic State. They who gathered at Ali Maju, Setiawangsa earlier that morning came pick me up at home, since I've decided last minute not to drive for the convoy. The journey started from Kuala Lumpur after the we went to Cheras to pick @piratz up.

Oh, before the journey started... we did what we do best... camwhoring!! :P

Trying out the Blogger mobile templates

After reading the article from amanz.my about the mobile templates for Blogger, I was called to try that out since me, myself is a smart phone user and always read others' blog on the go, wherever and whenever I want to.

I know that I don't really have a lot of readers that wish to spend their precious time reading my blog via the computers or laptops, moreover via phones. But hey, there's no harm trying the new stuff right? ;p

But since I use customized templates for my blogs the one that will appear on the mobile version is just the Simple Mobile templates, and this is how it look likes on my Nokia N8 .

Google did it again!!

And it’s Pac-Man yawww!!! Celebrating Pac-Man 30th birthday. Woott!!! Pac-Man is older than me. This is totally awesomenesssss. You can even play the game on the Google site. Very very very cute!!

Over the years, there are so many Doodle 4 Google that had been created and featured in Google website. Here are some Doodles appeared in Google Malaysia.

So, anyhow, Google organized a Doodle 4 Google competition for the kids in the US with the theme “If I Could Do Anything, I would…”. There are 40 finalist listed in the Doodle 4 Google site for you to vote to be the one featured on the Google.com site on the 27th May 2010.

Googling on the Wave

Basically, Google Wave is an online communication tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.

For now, Google Wave is able for people who are invited only. And so i got the invitation for Google Wave. and I’m spreading the love and the invitation to those who are interested. But the invitation is limited. So come hurry!

For the mean time, I’m still so confused on how to use it. But still learning and I think I’m gonna love it just how much I love twitter now. No. not love. I’m addicted to twitter. hahaha. Makes life super easy and fun!!
